So proud of Jaylee tonight at the Miss Merry Christmas Pageant for Fayette Elementary!!!! She did SOOOO good!!!! She was 2nd Alternate and Friendliest in the Kindergarten Division!!!!! I think I am most proud of Friendliest since it was voted on by her peers!!!! So so proud!!! Do you think I'm smiling a bit while I write this...Yes you would be right!!!!!

Well, we survived another year of Scrooge!!!! As usual we had so much fun and recieved such a blessing, but I am SO GLAD that it's over!!!! The whole purpose of Dogwood Productions is to share the gospel, and to hear stories from those who come to see the shows really makes all the long practices worth it. Here is a little story........After one of our shows while the cast was out front greeting those who came, a little boy who had recently lost his mother walked up to one of the angels and asked if they were real. Of course their response was yes I am real. It was then that the little boy asked if they had seen his mother in heaven where they were. Just breaks my heart....but I know that that little boy felt so good when he thought they had seen his mommy. Really makes me thankful for my family this Christmas Season, and thankful that God sent his Son so that we could live with Him in eternity!!! On another note....I am a horrible mom....even though I'm not exactly able to take pictures while my child is up on stage (I play the keyboard for Dogwood) you would think that I would at least take pictures before and after. But I forgot my camera every single show.....ughh!!! Thanks to the wonderful photographers for Dogwood who I can count on to have pics of my child!!!!!! Here are a few....

WOW!! I can't believe it's been a year since I've updated. So much has taken place!!! Jaylee is in Kindergarten!!! I know I can't believe it either!! Seems like yesterday she was learning how to walk, now we are taking spelling tests and reading books....and HOMEWORK. Who knew kindergarteners had so much homework???? Oh well.... Scrooge is coming up this weekend... so busy times but I'll do my best to stay up to date from now on!!! Hope everyone is doing FABULOUS!!!!

So, its been a while. It has been soo busy these past few months!! I have lots of pics to update and put on here so I'll try to get them put on here asap!!! This weekend though has been crazy. We celebrated my Uncle Jerry's 50th birthday last night!! Then this morning was my great grandmothers 84th birthday party, at 12 we went to my cousin Beau's 1st birthday party, then we went to the church to celebrate with about two hundred others Shane Lyle's 40th birthday!! Shane is a very special person to everyone he comes in contact with and We all Love him so much!! Shane also likes the Alabama Crimson Tide, and he had a special visitor come to celebrate with him!! BIG AL!! It was great!!! We all got to take our picture and he even stayed for a while and sang with us!!! Jaylee on the other hand didn't like him so much ha, I finally convinced her though to give him five!! I should have taken a pic cause I'm not sure that she would ever do it again. I'm not kidding she was TERRIFIED!!! Anyway, here are some pics!

Well it's been a few weeks since I've gotten a chance to get on here and update everyone!!! It has been sooo crazy!!! Lets see, first of all School has started back....ughhh!!! I chose to only take one class this semester cause two last semester kicked my tail!!! But, I'm not so sure I can handle even one, since its MACROECONOMICS....i mean yuck, come on do I really have to have this class. Anyways, I did this before my last post but I'll tell ya anyways, I went to see TSO!!! It was amazing!!! Andy's mother and I went and we had a blast! I can't wait to go again next year!! Also, we've started planning things with our youth at church, which is always fun!!! Me, my mother, two of my aunts and two of my cousins, went to the National Championship Celebration at Bryant-Denny....AMAZING!! I got some great pics that I'll have to show you guys!!! And last but certainly not least, Andy and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary on Jan. 21st!!! So, its def. been busy, but I love every minute of it!!! Hope you guys have a great day!!!!

Well, Christmas went great!! No one told Santa (me) that there were 50 million pieces to the kitchen that I had to put together......ALL BY MYSELF!!!! I didn't get in bed til 3AM.....I was exhausted!! Anyways....I thought ok...I'm going to the mountains...I'll be able to relax. Yea right!! We did so much!!! Lets see, first night (Christmas night) we didn't even get there til 2AM!!! Then Saturday we didn't even leave the house til 1 their time......we were lazy. So anyway,we went and ate at Applewood Restaurant....and it was soo good.. then we went shopping for a while and had intentions to go to Gatlinburg that night....yea that didn't happen....we all just walked in and sat there like knots on logs......then Sunday we did the same thing....left at 1 their time...haha...rode over to I-40 and went to Bass Pro Shop....stopped back by the outlets...then went to get ready to go to the Aquarium in Gatlinburg...then eat at Hard Rock... I think that was our most productive day!!! Then Monday started the STIR youth conference in Sevierville that the youth group from my church was attending and I was a chaperone. So Monday we left earlier 10AM their time, and went and ate at the Mountain Lodge, so Jaylee could have her Mickey Mouse pancakes. She looks forward to that every time we go!!! Then we went to Wal-Mart...which was PPAACCKKEEEDDDDD!!!! Are you surprised???? Then to more outlets...and then to the heavenly Apple Barn.. where we had apple pie, ice cream and milk.....It was GREAT!!!! And then that night I went over to Sevierville to go to first session with the kids!!! It was awesome...and I didn't know that my all time favorite band when I was a teenager was putting on a concert afterwards. Audio Adrenaline, which is Audio Unplugged now, put on a concert!!! It was AMAZING!!! Anyways so I stayed there with them....which by the way, they were staying at Wilderness in the Smokies....everyone should go there!!! Then Tues. morning I got up early and went back to Sevierville, to go to the morning session with the kids before I left!!! About 1 there time... we started the long journey home............and finally we got home at 730....and I am still soo tired. So, whoever thinks that you can go on vacation and REST.....YOUR CRAZY!!!!!!

Man has it been a busy week. Mon. night we had Andy's Christmas party with his team at work...in Haleyville!!! Tuesday night we had Christmas with my mom's side of the family at my grandmothers!!! Wednesday night we had Christmas with Andy's dad in T town.....and Today Andy and I both had to work!!! We had lunch at my Dad's mom's for lunch and supper with Andy's mom!!! We sure miss Pops and wish he could be here for Christmas, but we will just have to celebrate when he gets home!!! We love you Pops!!! Then we have to get ready for Ho Ho tonight after Jaylee goes to bed!!! We came out lucky this year...... Jaylee told Santa that she wanted a kitchen and lucky for us we had already bought her one....she first told him she wanted a jump rope. Can you believe that.... a jump rope.....HAHA!!!!! Anyways, after Christmas morning, we head to my parents house for Christmas with them!! Then...Jaylee and I are leaving with mom and Jordan, and Brianna for the mountains for a few days!!! Yay!!! I get a break from work!!! And then Monday the youth from church are coming up for a youth conference, which I am a chaperone of!!! So.....its gonna be busy as you can see, but all is good!!! Hope everyone has a great Christmas and lets all remember the reason we celebrate this wonderful time of year!!! Merry Christmas!!!!!

So, one of Santa's elves has come to stay with us for a while!!!! We put our elf on the shelf out last night and Jaylee thought it was just the best thing in the world. She did seem a little suspicious though. Funny how kids how!! She was just full of questions...like, Is he real?, Can he talk?, Does he move?.... Who put him there?.... It's hilarious actually!!! Anyway....she got up this morning and ran into the living room to find "Jimbob"( that's what she named him HAHA). She went up to him and started talking to him and she asked him if he saw Santa!! It was soo cute!!! Anyway we have a busy week, Jaylee's Christmas Play at school is tonight, then I have Scrooge this weekend, and the ball game Sat. plus all my school work. Oh it's gonna be busy!! But that's ok I love this time of year. I hope everyone has great day!!!

Today is Jaylee's fourth birthday!! I can't believe she is already four. It seems like just yesterday we brought her home and now she is a "big girl". It's funny she asked me earlier today who made her four...I told her Jesus. Well, a little later, she was not minding...which is often these days, and I told her that if she didn't mind mommy and daddy she may not get to have a birthday party. With a very serious face she said..."Will Jesus make me go back to three?" It was so funny I couldn't help but laugh!!!

Well it's been a while since I've been able to post anything it seems like. I have been super busy this past month. We have recently started a drama team and praise band at church and so we have been practicing for those. Also I've been trying to help out with our youth, we are tryin to get some things goin to get our young kids involved, and it's really been taking up some time. I don't do near as much as some ppl but what little I have done has kept me busy. But it has been a blessing and I'm so thankful that God has given me the opportunity be involved like I have. For those of you who don't attend our church please keep us and our youth in your prayers as we try to use our new found talents (haha) to witness to others.

Well, I know its been a few weeks, but I've been pretty busy getting ready for Vacation Bible School which started Sunday and won't end until tomorrow night. It's been really exhausting!!! For some STRANGE reason I chose to help teach the 3-4 yr old class with two others. Call me crazy I know but I really didn't think it would be that bad. My own child is three and I thought for sure it would be much easier than teaching older children. Boy was I wrong. We have had between 6 to 8 kids every night and I know that doesn't sound like many but it is a JOB!!! I jokingly told some of us workers Tues. night after it was over that I thought the church needed to pay for us to see a psychiatrist after this was over!!! Everyone got a kick out of that!!! Anyway I've got to go and hopefully make it through another night. Please pray for us!! WE NEED IT DESPERATELY!!! HAHA Also the pictures from bible school should be up pretty soon on the church website so be sure and check out the link to your left!!!

I hope everyone has had a great LONG weekend, even though its been mostly filled with rain. We spent the weekend at the river and it rained pretty much the whole time. The sun did manage to peep through the clouds a few times though, which gave Andy the opportunity to sling me around on the tube for a while. But, we did have a pretty good weekend. I didn't get to take many pictures because of the rain but I did manage to get this picture of Ben and Jaylee enjoying a YOOHOO during one of the rain spells!!

Let's all remember though the reason we get to celebrate this day in the first place. I hope all those who are serving our country have a great day and to those overseas be safe!!!!

I have been pretty busy these past few weeks with Jaylee and other things. Last weekend which was the weekend of the 16th, Jaylee and I took a road trip to Troy, AL to visit by brother and his girlfriend. They go to school at Troy and his birthday was last weekend so we went down to see him. That Sat., we took a day trip to the beach which was fun and tiring all at the same time.

Then, Thursday was Jaylee's program at school. Last year she came out on stage screaming for mommy. So, needless to say I was a little nervous that she would do the same thing but much to my surprise she stood up there the whole time and sang every song and did every motion. We were so proud of her!! She's really growing up!!

The smell of burning rubber, the yelling of the biggest rednecks around and not a cloud in sight on an 85 degree day, well, if your a Nascar fan thats as close to heaven as it gets. This past weekend was just that. Andy and I went to Talladega with some of our friends and we had a blast. For everyone besides me and Andy it was their first racing experience and I think they loved it. Watching it on tv is no comparison to the feeling you get when those cars in a pack of 40 come flying by you at speeds pushing 200 mph, and they thought it would be boring. I think one even said " It's just a bunch of cars going around in circles", but I think he changed his mind. HAHA!! Anyways, there were some other exciting things other than the race. Coach Saban was the Grand Marshall which was exciting for us Tide fans but there were a few sitting in front of us and they were Georgia and Florida fans so we got to rub that in their face a little. They didn't like that too much!!! But they did something different this year that in all the 16 years I've been going they have never done. After the driver introductions they each got in the back of a truck and someone drove them around the track so they could wave to all of their fans. Well I'm a HUUUGGGEEE Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan so when I realized they were doing this I got super excited. I got some great pics from the whole weekend so here are a few. Hope ya'll enjoy them

What a beautiful day it was today. The perfect day for a play date at the park. Some of the ladies from the church planned a play date for the kids and although it was a little HOT we had a great time. The kids absolutely loved playing on the big playset. Five Generations

I love family get togethers, and while some may think they are boring they have never met The Tubbs family. I think I have the craziest family! Figuratively and Literally. HAHA!! My great-grandmother aka Mildred Louise Tubbs Duck, aka Grandma Duck, who is still living was one of 16 children. So as you can imagine that calls for a house full of people, and a house full of people is exactly what we had today. Grandma turned 86 today and she had brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild there to celebrate with her. So in case you are wondering why the title of this post says "Five Generations" thats because Jaylee was her one great-great-grandchild there today. Grandma has been in the Nursing Home for a few years now so we hardly ever get a chance to get together with everyone and take pictures. We did today though and it was so funny, I don't think Grandma knew what to think she just sat there!!

Yesterday was a crazy crazy day!!! We started off the morning with Brooke's birthday party in B'ham at 10, so that lets you know right there we got off to an early start. But we had a great time as always. Little did we know that when we left Niki and Tim's our adventures were just beginning.

My cousin Tesha's son Bryce will be 1 on March 5. So, she had his birthday party yesterday at Chucky E. Cheese.............. There is only one word that I can think of for that place....CHAOS!!! It was unreal the people. I mean all Jaylee wanted to do was ride the blessed horse and she couldn't even do that for the million kids waiting in line. And to top it all off, they cancelled the party reservations for reasons unknown so we didn't get a table all together, they had us in booths scattered across the room. We did manage however to hop on a ride before someone beat us to it so here are a few pics.

When we finally left Tuscaloosa we made our way back to Fayette where we went to the Country Club where a local band (Marshall Law) was playing. We stayed for a while and visited with some friends before heading home in the SNOW!!!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked out the window this morning. Usually they give a possibility for snow and we never see the first flake but this time was different. It was a winter wonderland. Jaylee and I went over to my parents to see my brother and his girlfriend before they left to go back to Troy and when I get there this is what was going on.....

Jaylee also loved the snow. This was the first time she had seen snow and she thought it was the most amazing thing. She really liked it at first until she figured out it was wet. She is so funny. But, we had a great time playing in it. Maybe now we can rest a bit before starting a new week.

Tomorrow is Brooke's 2nd Birthday!! It seems unreal that just two short years ago the doctors didn't even know if she would make it and now she is a normal two year old. I like to to call her one of God's little miracles because that is exactly what she is. It's absolutely amazing to me the things she has accomplished. I mean who knew that such little people could be such BIG fighters, and Brooke is exactly that. Brooke, we hope you have a great birthday and WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!

This morning when I dropped Jaylee off at school her teachers stopped me in the hallway. They told me that they had started learning how to count to 5 in spanish last week. Well Jaylee apparently just kept right on to ten. This past summer Andy taught her how I think as a joke at first but she caught on really fast. Anyway, the teachers were just amazed. They kept on about how smart she is then told me that sometimes they let her teach circle time!!!! I couldn't believe it, I mean its kind of funny trying to imagine a three year old teaching other two and three year olds how to count and how to recognize colors and shapes. I think she even stands up there and sings for them sometimes too!! HAHA!! Anyways, we couldn't be more proud of our little girl!!!!

Ok so last night was my first night of aerobics. Boy when I tell you that you that was a workout. I kind of quit exercising over the holidays so it was time for me to start back, I just didn't realize how long it had been. I must have been getting pretty out of shape.HAHA!!!! One of my friends owns Head over Heels which is primarily gymnastics but she has recently added the aerobics class so I thought I would give it a shot. Let's just hope it works!!! Thanks Donta for a great workout!!!

I just wanted to update everyone on mother. The surgery yesterday went great. She is sore as is expected but overall she was doing really good. Thanks to everyone for all your prayers.

My mother will be having surgery on Tues. Feb. 3rd. A few years ago she stepped out the back door and fell. The only step between the door and the patio had two mats on it and it had frozen a little over night, when she stepped on it they slid out from under her. At the time she only had a bulging disk and now it has gotten significantly worse. The disk has ruptured and she has an extrusion in her spinal cavity. So, she will be having surgery on Tuesday to hopefully correct this and get her back to normal. She is only 42 and she can barely do anything. She can't even pick Jaylee up which I know she hates. I'm not exactly sure what the surgery is called but they are going to remove the ruptured disk, and replace it with a bone graft, then hold it in place with rods and screws. I have to tell you, I'm a little nervous but I have faith that God is in control and he will take care of her. So, please keep mother and Dr. Zeiger (her surgeon), and all of his staff in your prayers. We are not sure what time the surgery will take place but its going to be at Brookwood Medical Center so I'm sure we will be up there all day. Also keep my dad in your prayers, mother will be out of commision pretty much for six weeks so dad will have his hands full.

Andy and I took Jaylee to the circus today along with my Aunt Cindy, my cousin Ashley and her son Parker. We had a great time!!! Jaylee was completely amazed!! There were a few times when she got scared, like when they had "boom fire" as she was calling it. It was only fireworks but she was scared!! Anyways, you know me, the procrastinator, I realized right before we left this morning that I had forgotten to charge my camera battery!! So, I only got a few pics before it died on me right after the show started! I guess I'll never learn!!! Oh well!!

Anniversary

Well, today is mine and Andy's 3rd wedding anniversary. I have to say that its been very challenging with Andy being gone so much, but somehow we've survived. Maybe the next three won't be quite as event filled. I don't think we will be able to spend our anniversary the traditional way you know with dinner and what have you....its kinda difficult to do that during the week especially when you live at least an hour from the nearest "nice restaurant" excluding BBQ joints!!!! HAHA Hopefully we will get to celebrate over the weekend.

Well this week was back to school and back to work for all of us. I had taken off for several days over the new year and Jaylee was out of school for almost two weeks. She wasn't to happy Monday morning when I dropped her off at school, I think she almost wanted to cry but she was a big girl and she sucked it up and walked right on in. I couldn't blame her though, I almost cried to because I had to go back to work. HAHA Oh well!! Anyways besides having to go back to work I've not really started the new year off like I was hoping. I was supposed to start school the first of this month. You see three years go when I got pregnant I was in the middle of my 2nd year at Bevill. I quit because I thought I didn't need to go anymore. Looking back I think how stupid Brandy but you live and you learn. Anyways I'm really excited to start again. While I am thankful to have a job I do not want to work as a teller for the rest of my life. I want to make something of myself for myself and for my family and now that Andy is home I have the opportunity to do so. Unfortunately some things have come up and I wasn't able to start. But I have spoken with my advisor and I'm gonna be able to start the second mini term which is the first of March. Please everyone just pray that nothing comes up to prevent me from starting. I hope everyone has a BLESSED weekend!!!

Andy is home!!, the summer was great we had so much fun... and Jaylee is now three. We celebrated her birthday which is Oct. 5, last Saturday. She had a great time. I'll have to hurry and get some pics on here. We got to about the third present which was dress up clothes and that was all she wrote!!! Once she opened that she didn't care about anyting else. I know it has been a while since I even said that I would update everyone soon but these past few weeks have just been crazy. Andy left today coming back to the states!!!!! We are excited about that. Also Jaylee has had some things going on with school and so we have just been super busy. Anyway, here are a few pics. Some of them are from Jaylee's school program. She only stood up there for about 10 min, and saw me and started screamin and cryin. Needless to say I was embarrassed. Then there are some pics of our church service last Sunday night at the park. We had such a good time. We did play softball though and I was so sore the next day. HA!!! I've also put some pics on here from memorial day at the river of Jaylee!! Well its been quite some time since I've last done anything on here. I have been soo busy. Andy is coming home next month and there is soo much still to do. We have lots going on so its just hard for me to find time to get on. But I'll try to get on here within the next week or two and update everyone.

Pig Tails.......

This afternoon when I went to pick Jaylee up her class was playing outside. I usually spot her immediately but I didn't today. Then I heard her teacher say "Jaylee look who's here" and about that time a little girl with braided pig tails started running towards me. I finally realized it was Jaylee. She looked so cute. I just had to have a picture of her when we got home. She loves her pig tails.

While it didn't snow hardly any I did manage to get Jaylee and I up early enough to get outside in it for a few minutes before it melted. I was excited, I thought I may get some good pictures but this was all I got before Jaylee told me it was too cold and we had to go inside!

Snoodles and Baseballs

Last night Jaylee and I went to my mother and daddy's as we usually do on tuesday nights. Everyone except for my brother had already eaten. So a few hours later he decided to eat Spaghetti-O's. Well, Jaylee being the bottom-less pit that she is decided she wanted some too. So she walked over to him and said "Bubba, I want some snoodles and baseballs too." Which was actually noodles and meatballs. It was the funniest thing!!!!

It's been a few days since my last post. I've not been home really enough to do anything but sleep. Andy made it back to his destination on Saturday. It was a long flight for him and when I first talked to him he was exhausted but he feels better now. This morning while Jaylee and I were getting ready for church she told me that she wanted to sit on her potty. We do this often, as a matter of fact every time I use the bathroom she sits on her potty right in front of me. So, I let her sit while I was fixing my hair. after she sat there for a few minutes she asked if she could wipe. So I gave her a wipe and when she got through she put in her potty. I think she thinks she can flush hers too!! But anyway when I looked down to take the wipe out I noticed that she had tee-teed! It was her very first time to tee tee in the potty. It was a very exciting moment for the both of us!!!!!

Well, today was Andy's last day home from leave. He flew out of Birmingham this morning around ten.
We got there early enough though to spend some more time with him before he left. Jaylee loved it of course. Everytime she saw an airplane take off she would say "Yee-Haw"... I'm not sure why? When they started calling the passengers to board the plane we knew it wouldn't be much longer so Andy started trying to tell everyone bye and give last minute hugs. When he got to Jaylee he picked her up and gave her a hug and kiss and told her that he had to leave and she said, "She don't want you to leave". He just gave me this sad look and I knew it broke his heart. But it was time for him to go so we said goodbye one more time and he left. We waited to watch his plane take off and when it started Jaylee stood at the window saying, "Bye Daddy".

I've recently learned of the world of blogging. After some thought of whether or not I'd actually have time or make time to do it I decided it might be a good thing. Andy is in the military and is currently deployed to Iraq. I think this will be a great way for him to keep up with our busy lives here back home. It's just me and Jaylee so you can imagine how fun it must be!!! So, we are going to give this a try. In the mean time I need to go help Jaylee find her BINK!!!
